Upon arrival you will be welcomed by the hostess Ulvi who tends with love and care to both the household and the menu. Have a taste of her baked scones or smoked meat on the spot or buy some along. Hämsa Tavern owns a well-known certification in Võrumaa „Uma mekk” for the scones.

We are located in Võrumaa, close to Andsu lakes and near the wonderful Haanja Natural Park
What makes us special are our homemade local foods – pan-fried groats with mushrooms, Hämsa ribs smoked by the hostess with curd cheese potatoes, both savoury and sweet scones and much more that is tasty and refreshing. Step into Hämsa Tavern – your belly will be filled and your spirits brightened.
Enough space to entertain bigger parties, such as weddings or a firm’s summer festivities. Accommodation for 25 people plus 5 in the sauna house and 20 mattress spaces in the tavern attic, area for caravans and tents, 2 grill houses, a UNESCO certified smoke sauna and a Finnish sauna. There is a swing and playground for children, and the whole complex is spacious and safe enough to rest with young ones. In the holiday house is a room for seminaries and for relaxation it is possible to order massages.
